Description

The clay-limestone soils of Menetou-Salon produce a very fine and balanced wine, with aromas of white fruit and a subtle minerality. Like all Sauvignon Blancs from the Loire Valley, it pairs perfectly with appetizers, seafood, and fish.

Winemaking is in the Dezat family blood, with winemaking ancestors dating back to the 15th century and beyond.

In 1948, André Dezat, known to everyone as P'ti Dé, took over the family estate. He became a key figure in the Sancerre region and greatly contributed to the appellation's renown. His two sons, Louis and Simon, then took up the mantle in the 1970s, modernizing and expanding the estate with the acquisition of vineyards in the Pouilly-Fumé AOC in 1979, followed by the Menetou-Salon AOC in 2005. It was also in 2005 that Andre's grandson Arnaud joined his father Louis at the estate.

In 2020, the story took a new turn with the creation of a new estate: Domaine Arnaud et Stéphanie Dezat. A new, more functional and less energy-intensive workspace was built, and this combined with more sustainable farming practices, has allowed the estate to reduce their ecological footprint whilst continuing to guarantee the impeccable quality inherent in their winemaking heritage.
