Description

Made from 100% Petit Manseng, this Jurancon Doux shows a graceful balance between fruit and acidity. Mouth-watering apricot and tropical fruit characters, but with a deft elegance and freshness.

2023 - 12.5% abv

Winemaker Charles Hours is one of the great characters of the region. Because of the dry climate, Charles, together with his daughter Marie, produces his sweet Jurancon using passerillage, a process of air-drying the grapes. Everything here is totally natural. The wines are barrel fermented (20% new for Uroulat) and seem beautifully pure, just like the glorious hillside where he lives surrounded by his vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees. These wines can be drunk young but they also age superbly.
