Description

Elegant and classical Riesling with aromas of green apples and citrus, pineapple and melon. Excellent balance of sweetness and acidity.

The Louis Guntrum Estate is home to one of Rheinhessen's largest vaulted brick cellars and lies on the banks of the Rhine between Oppenheimer and Nierstein. The estate comprises 11 hectares of mainly Grand Cru vineyards in one of the most traditional wine-growing regions of Germany. The choice of vineyards has been developed carefully by successive generations, adapting to climatic changes and market trends, while taking into consideration the different characters of wines that originate from the different types of soil. The 11th generation, Louis Konstantin Guntrum, the sole owner, is managing the estate today where modern cellar technology, combined with the best of traditional wine-making and philosophy are responsible for the production of some of Germany's finest wines.
