Description

Always a great talking point, this extraordinary speciality sparkling red wine is based on a cool climate Cabernet-Shiraz blend from vines situated on the Trillians Hills in Clare Valley, South Australia. It is a deep ruby colour with a lively mousse which holds the delicious notes of rich plum and dark berries alongside savoury and spice notes. Powerful dark fruit is well balanced by subtle oak and a soft texture of velvety tannins, with a long and elegant finish. [Shiraz 86%, Cabernet Sauvignon 14%]

Pauletts have been making award-winning wines for nearly 40 years. Starting in a little tin shed nestled in the valley of the Polish Hill River region, this family operation has grown into an internationally-acclaimed and award-winning winery. Pauletts have a reputation for producing wines of finesse, elegance and intensity that truly reflect the region due to their dedication and care from vintage to vintage. This lovely property now extends to 150 hectares with 47 planted with vines.

The spectacular Clare Valley in South Australia is known as one of the best wine-growing regions on the globe. One of Australia`s oldest wine regions and is probably best known for its Riesling wines. Polish Hill River is a sub-region one and a half hours drive north from Adelaide, with slate soils for a flintier style Riesling. The region is made up of smaller boutique wineries, so you are bound to find amazing gems by those producing on a smaller scale.
