Description

Sharpham Pinot Noir 2022

Delicate cool climate Pinot Noir with aromas of bramble fruit, dark cherry, blue fruit and violets. Aged for ten months spent in oak, it's rounded and easy drinking, with soft and well-integrated tannins and spiced berries on the finish. Hailing from the hot summer of 2022, this single-vineyard red really does flaunt that all-too-rare South Devon sunshine in every sip.

2022 – 11% abv

Tucked away in a stunning South Hams valley, Sandridge Barton have been growing grapes and crafting wines since 1981. With 32 acres of vineyards rolling down towards the River Dart, they harvest over 80 tonnes of fruit each year, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Madeleine Angevine, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a mix that thrives on south-facing the Stoke Gabriel slopes, where Devon’s mild climate and rich soils help produce wines full of character and precision.
