VEGAN

Jean-Pierre Latour has 10 hectares under vine in Meursault. Wonderfully sited vineyards, low yields, brilliant winemaking and no fining or filtration, make this one of the most exciting domaines in the village at present. The domaine is currently in organic conversion.

The vineyards of Genevrières equal a total of 16 hectares in the heart of Meursault 1ers Crus, south of the village. The name of this appellation comes from the juniper trees that used to grow there a long time ago. The 1er Cru Genevrières is from two perfectly sited parcels, comprising 2.5 hectares at the top of the vineyard.  Soil type is mosiac limestone, ideally suited for Chardonnay grapes.

Fermentation and elevage is in French Oak with a barrel aging period of 15-18 months. (20% new 228l French Tonçais oak). Bottle-aging takes places Winter to Spring.
