Finca Constancia Verdejo Parcela 52 2021
This wine is made from grapes selected from their best Verdejo plot. One portion of the wine is fermented in new French oak barrels and left on the lees for 6 months. Parcela 52 has a straw yellow hue with golden shades and intense aromas of herbs, fennel, aniseed and stone fruits like apricots and peaches. Fresh on the palate it is intense and grassy with a long finish.
Finca Constancia, in Otero, near Toledo, marks a new era in Gonzalez Byass' wine business. Identifying the need for modern, fruit-driven wines, of the highest quality, the company researched areas where this goal could be realised.
In 2001, the planting programme began on a new 230 hectare property. A state-of-the-art, environmentally efficient winery, was built using the latest technology. Named Finca Constancia, it reflects the company ethos of dedication to quality, first stated by their founder, which is still at the heart of the business.
