"Biscuity and bready, showing delicious fresh-croissant and spiced-pear aromas. It’s fine and creamy with soft bubbles. Tasty pastry notes on the long, balanced finish. Drink now or hold." - James Suckling

The Gremillet family own over 40 hectares of prime-site vineyards in the Aube département and their impeccable cellars are situated in the village of Balnot-sur-Laignes, about 45km. to the south-east of Troyes, in the heart of the Côte des Bar region. A large part of their vineyards are situated in the Pinot Noir heartland of les Riceys and Bagneux-la-Fosse, whilst the Chardonnay is sourced from growers in Montgueux and the Côte des Blancs, in the Marne. These are extremely elegant wines that have been given extra bottle-ageing in the cellars, developing a creamy texture and roundness rarely found at this price.
