Description

Made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache, this delicious, deep-coloured red is rich and ripe with an excellent concentration of spicy, blackberry fruit, a hint of savoury herbs and coffee, and plenty of rustic character.

The 170 winegrowers belonging to the Arnaud de Villeneuve cooperative are the successors of like-minded producers who first banded together in 1909 to protect and develop the traditions of the Cotes du Roussillon region.

The cooperative's 1300 hectares of vineyards are primarily located in the northern part of the Roussillon plain, between the Corbières, the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. From plains to valleys, hillsides to terraces, red soil to black marl, pebbles to shale colluvium, they represent a magnificent array of terroirs.

Arnaud de Villeneuve has been committed to a sustainable development initiative since 2012, conserving resources, protecting the environment and biodiversity, and strengthening links with the local community. They were ”Vignerons Engagés” certified in 2020: dedicated to the wine industry in France and based on a globally-recognised standard, this is more than simply an environmental label, it is a philosophy based on environmental sustainability.
