Chateau La Gorce 2018, Medoc
Blaignan - Cru Bourgeois Medoc
The very attractive 1821 chartreuse of Chateau la Gorce is to be found about 7 kilometres to the north of St. Estephe. The thirty-seven hectares of vineyard stretch out around the property and chais, and are in immaculate condition. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, Henri Fabre uses 20% new oak barrels each year and makes a wine that always exhibits a juicy fruit and a rich colour. The wine is powerful and concentrated and is amply endowed with fruit - very much the modern style of Bordeaux.
