Altivo Classic Malbec 2021 Bodegas Finca Eugenio Bustos
Ripe and rounded with a plummy fruit and good balance.
Eugenio Bustos was established in 1890, after Eugenio Bustos purchased some land in Valle de Uco, in Mendoza, and began to build the winery. His daughter, Celia Bustos, inherited the estate and thanks to her leadership, the land was turned into a profitable vineyard.
The town of Eugenio Bustos, as the immediate area is now known, is a hugely traditional Argentinean town, situated at the base of the Andes. Being slightly higher, at 1200 metres, than the rest of Mendoza and closer to the Andes, the temperatures in The Uco Valley are more moderate than the rest of Mendoza, which gives the wines more subtle characteristics than many of their counterparts.
More recently years the winery has been extended, restored, and equipped with French and Italian state-of-the-art technology.
