Description

Intense ruby red colour with a vibrant nose of concentrated red fruit with hints of spices and cherries. The palate is round and full with a sweet, fruity finish, balanced by a present acidity that suggests a bright future. 100% Sangiovese.

VINTAGE: The 2021 winter was marked by mild temperatures and average rainfall. Germination took place between the last week of March and the first of April. A cold snap in Spring slowed the development of vegetation but May and June were hot and dry which allowed the plants to catch up. The ripening continued regularly and the harvest began in the second week of September.

HARVEST: Manual, second week of September.

VINIFICATION : Manual selection of the grapes first and - after destemming - by optic selector. Spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts followed with maceration facilitated by frequent pressing. Everything takes place in conical steel vats at controlled temperatures for 18 days.
