Description

Bottled at the Brunier's famous Vieux Telegraphe winery, their AOC Ventoux 'Megaphone' is an exuberant and unapologetic expression of this fabulous terroir. In their words:

"We believe that Ventoux wines should be full of character, exuding the sunshine and herby garrigue, but also reflect the mountain range that cools the local air. Megaphone, a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, is a very good compromise between seriousness and pleasure, fruit and minerality, garrigue and freshness."

2023 - 14.5% abv

LOCATION: made from plots totalling 15 acres in the village of Saint-Hippolyte-le-Graveyron, nestling on the southern slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail.

SOIL AND SUBSOIL: sand and clay, and lightly stony.

GRAPE VARIETIES: 80% Grenache Noir, 20% Syrah.

VINE AGE: 25 years old on average.

VINIFICATION: grapes are hand-picked,  with double sorting at the vine, then a third sort  in the winery. Lightly crushed and fully destemmed,  the grapes then undergo traditional fermentation  for 20-30 days. Pneumatic pressing is followed  by systematic malolactic fermentation.

MATURATION: in foudres (50 hl). Bottled after light filtering at 1 year.
