Description

Chiroubles, the highest cru of the Beaujolais, comes from the steep granite hillsides from Domaine de la Chaponne. Wonderfully fruity, full of blackberries and blueberries, this is a really fresh example of Chiroubles and made to be enjoyed with food. 

Wine growers since 1987, Laurence and Laurent's first plots of Morgon came from the “Grands Cras” and “Côte du Py” climats. A plot of vines located in a place called La Chaponne offered them the desired style of wine: aromatic complexity, power and balance. The name of the estate comes from the satisfaction of tasting this wine.

"In 2000, we took over from my father André Guillet by acquiring new plots of land on the Côte du Py. Since then the estate extends over 12 hectares in Morgon. Married to Laurence, daughter of the blacksmith from the village of Chiroubles and owner of vines from this same vintage, it is in her honor that from 2009 we developed the first vintages of our vintage “La Forge”
