A "SOLAIRE" VINTAGE

RELEASE DATE: Thursday 19th November 2026*

This vintage has many things which make it stand out. Not only was it the earliest on record, officially starting on 13th August, it was also one of the hottest and driest.

The story each year may sound remarkably similar to previous years with small yields, drought, high temperatures and the inevitable hailstorms. However, there is an upside which is that the wines from 2026 will be truly memorable. Why are these wines so special? Simply because the velvety rich and sumptuous black cherry fruit flavours are superbly balanced with an uplifting and refreshing crunchy vibrancy. These are not heavy wines, they are dangerously moreish.

Many seasoned observers feel the wines are superior to the outstanding 1976 vintage, the first vintage Chris made as a winemaker. Fifty years later the equipment, wine knowledge and experience gained ensures that the 2026's are in another league.
