Description

This delicious Cremant has a firm, assertive flavour which is perfectly off-set against a creamy mousse and supported by a ripe, clean pure fruitiness and balancing acidity. Made by the traditional method using 80% Chardonnay and 20% Arbois. The wine is aged on its lees for 2 years as a minimum before disgorgement. Vinified and aged in stainless steel, made in a lovely fresh style to be drunk young.

Frédéric & Anne-Sophie Meurgey-Penet are making some really outstanding Loire sparkling wines; Sophie is the oenologist and her husband, Frédéric is a Burgundian with a great deal of sparkling wine experience. This young couple met whilst they were studying at Beaune and they have both worked extensively in Australia and South Africa.  They have increased the domaine to over 45 hectares. They and their four daughters live in Château de la Presle.
