Description

An aromatic, dry white with a fresh nose of elderflower and an abundance of pear and grapefruit notes. Lychee and apple on the palate with a hint of pear, grapefruit and elderflower, and a backdrop of English hedgerow character. Crisp but balanced acidity makes this a perfect match for salads and seafood.

WINEMAKING NOTES
The 2023 Bacchus blend included fruit from Devon and Essex, highlighting the best of East and West. Hand harvested between the 27th of September and the 4th of October 2023. Each parcel of fruit was fermented in individual lots at temperatures ranging from 12°C to 17°C, with specially selected yeast strains to help enhance the house style of Bacchus. After racking, the wines were selected and blended, then left to rest on fine leaves for several months before final filtration and bottling.

Fermentation vessels: 100% Stainless Steel

Vineyards: Great Whitmans (Essex), Castlewood (Devon), New Hall (Essex), Martin’s Lane (Essex)
