Description

This vegan-friendly Grenache Syrah Mataro - or GSM as it's affectionately known - is an example of the best the Barossa has to offer. The three red varieties that contribute to this vibrant, aromatic and layered wine have been planted in the region since its establishment.

The 2018 shows alluring notes of boysenberry, black pepper, allspice, crushed petals and fennel seeds. A juicy palate with flavours of plum cake, dark cherry and rhubarb, leading to a long palate with lovely silky tannins and a delicious and refreshing finish. (2018 - 13.5% abv)

Founded in 1849 by Samuel Smith, Yalumba is Australia’s oldest family owned winery. Today, the winery is owned by fifth generation descendants, Robert & Sam Hill Smith and their families. Their 'Samuel's Collection' celebrates Yalumba's direct lineage to some of Australia's first vine plantings, several of which could be found in the vineyard Samuel Smith planted at Yalumba over a century and a half ago.
