Moscato d'Asti Morelli, Dezzani 2020
The grapes for this are grown in the Terzo d'Acqui-Allessandria province and are hand picked in the beginning of September. The resultant must (juice) is held in stainless steel vats and chilled and a partial secondary fermentation at low temperature takes place during this period.
The colour is straw yellow, and a typical nose, characteristic of Muscat grapes, with scents of acacia, apple and white peach predominates. This leads to a sweet and soft palate and a long persistent finish. When young it is mildly "spritzig" ie slightly fizzy on the tongue.
It is low in alcohol at 5% abv and can accompany appetizers as well as being very suitable for desserts especially fruit based ones.
It is best consumed within two years of vintage.
