Le Sang des Cailloux estate spans 17 hectares of vineyards in the Vacqueyras appellation, nestled on the Garrigues plateau, facing the Dentelles de Montmirail. Its clay-limestone soils and Mediterranean climate provide ideal growing conditions. The name, literally 'the blood of the stones' refers to the characteristic pebbles which cover the soils of the region, a unique geological composition which imparts a singular minerality and remarkable aromatic depth to the wines.
Founded in 1975, the Le Sang des Cailloux estate took off with the arrival of Serge Férigoule. Hired in the 1980s as a farm worker, Serge became the owner of the estate in 1990 with a clear vision: to abandon chemical products in favor of environmentally friendly viticulture. His choices marked the beginning of a transition to a new era.
In 2003, his son Frédéri joined the family business. A self-taught winemaker driven by a strong commitment to his land, they obtained organic certification in 2007. Three years later, they transitioned the estate to biodynamic farming, a pioneering approach in the region. Today, alongside his wife, Marion, he has established Le Sang des Cailloux as a leading wine of the Vacqueyras appellation.
