The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges Villages comes from a single 0.13-hectare parcel to the north of the appellation. It has a very pure bouquet with scents of bright red cherries and fresh strawberry that is very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with wood dominating the entry and then the red vivacious fruit surfaces and starts to party towards the finish. Alas there are just three barrels produced this year, but it is worth tracking a bottle down if you can."
