SHERRY

'La Gitana' Manzanilla 50cl – None of the gloopy sweet stuff, this is deliciously fresh and dry with a lovely nutty nuance. Perfect with a salted almond or olive as the veg prep gets under way.

FIZZ

Cremant de Loire ‘Eclat de Chenin’ Brut – charming, delicately frothy fizz, peach-scented, crisp and dry.

Champagne Gremillet Brut 'Ambassadeur' NV – top-notch ‘grower’s’ Champagne from family run house. Creamy in texture with a lovely depth of rich, biscuity fruit.

WHITES

Sancerre ‘Chavignol’, Domaine Serge Laporte – fabulous Loire Sauvignon at it’s very best. An absolute classic.

Pouilly-Vinzelles ‘les Longeays’, Domaine Mathias – beautifully poised white Burgundy with a wonderful balance of exuberant fruit and freshness.

REDS

Fleurie, Chateau de la Chaize – silky soft and supple cru Beaujolais with elegant red fruit and classic floral hints.

Muga Rioja Reserva – full-blooded Reserva from the masters at Muga. Rich and rounded with lots of ripe dark fruit and a touch of vanilla oak spice.

DESSERT

Sichel Sauternes 37.5cl – a half bottle of the good stuff to go with (or if you’ve run out of room, instead of) all things sticky. Yummy with cheeses too!

PORT

Churchill’s Late Bottled Vintage 2019 – rich and concentrated with deep plummy fruit.
