Rosso Puglia 2021 Vezzani
A naturally spicy red, unoaked, with fresh notes of wild strawberries and ripe cherries and smooth tannins. Extremely drinkable and great for parties.
Francesco Rocca began producing Vezzani wines in the south of Italy in the 19th century. Four generations later, Ernesto Rocca and his three sons produce traditional and drinkable wines all over the country. The wines of Puglia are of ancient origin having been developed by the ancient Greeks, however it is only since the 1980's that these wines have begun to re-establish their own identity and to be remarkably good value for money wines.
The Roccas have had a winery in Foggia in Puglia since 1936, and their knowledge of the region shows in this blend of 90% Negroamaro and 10% Malvasia Nero from vineyards in Salento and Murge plateau.
