Ratafia, Champagne Gremillet
Golden topaz in colour - bright, luminous and limpid. The nose reveals rich, voluptuous aromas of dried fruit and the impression of alcohol reminds one of Cognac and Armagnac, with a hint of wood and vanilla. This has gorgeous 'mouthfeel' with an unctuous sweetness well balanced by a bright acidity.
Ratafia makes a lovely aperitif or can be served with either a sweet or savoury starter, or even with ice-cream.
Ratafia is a blend of grape juice and marc de Champagne.
