Chateau Andron Blanquet 2011, St Estephe
St Estephe Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel
Assertive and powerful with a fleshy fruitiness. It displays a classy nose filled with blackberry fruit and subtle hints of spice. On the palate, it is well structured with integrated oak and great depth of flavour. Pair with game, beef, lamb and cheddar cheese.
Following a lacklustre period in the 1970's, Bernard Audoy has brought this attractive 15-hectare property into the limelight in St. Estephe. Situated next to Chateau Cos d'Estournel, the estate was purchased by the Audoy family (who also own Chateau Cos Labory) in 1971. This is classic St. Estephe - assertive and powerful, yet with an intriguing supple, fleshy fruitiness and a deep colour.
