Description

We thought for the autumn cases we would focus on particular wine producers, so in each box are three pairs of wines (one red, one white) from three different wineries around the world. 

Our Mixed case highlights wines from France, Australia and Spain.

Beret Blanc and Beret Noir are from Producteurs de Plaimont, South West France. Beret Blanc has intense aromas of ripe grapefruits, pears and peaches with a lovely freshness. On the palate this is a rich and harmonious wine with hints of warm apricots and a zesty finish. Beret Noir boasts crisp acidity and a plump texture, dark cherry, muddled plum and blackberry fruit, with sweet spice and floral accents. Lightly grippy tannins match with herb and mineral details on the finish.

Whistling Duck Shiraz and Whistling Duck Semillon/Sauvignon are from Calabria Family Wines in New South Wales, Australia. The Shiraz is has flavours of ripe plums, dark cherries and fresh blackberries with a lovely hint of spice. This beautifully concentrated wine is deliciously smooth and drinking superbly. The Semillon/Sauvignon is filled with a luscious bouquet of gooseberry & grassy notes. A fresh tropical fruit palate with soft acidity.

Finally, Macabeu/Chardonnay 'Castell' and Tempranillo 'Castell' are from Clos Montblanc, Catalunya, Spain. The Macabeu/Chardonnay has aromas of peaches and pineapples with vibrant acidity and a powerful fruity finish. The Tempranillo is a superbly made bold red with warm fruit and spice flavours.
