Description

We thought for the autumn cases we would focus on particular wine producers, so in each box are three pairs of wines from three different wineries around the world. 

Our Red case highlights wines from Chile, Portugal and the marvelous Talamonti winery in Italy. 

Cornellana Cabernet/Merlot and straight Merlot are from Vina la Rosa on the banks of the Cachapoal River in Chile. The Cabernet/Merlot is a well structured approachable red, medium bodied with plummy, curranty fruit. The Cabernet gives superb depth and structure to the fleshy Merlot. The straight Merlot is wonderfully smooth with soft, concentrated ripe fruit in particular cherries plums and blackberries

Casal Monteiro Red and Terra de Touros Pinot Noir/Touriga are from Quinta do Casal Monteiro in the Tejo region of Portugal. The Casal Monteiro is a smooth and elegant, medium-bodied wine. Intense summer berry aromas and velvety tannins with a long juicy finish. The Touros Pinot Noir/Touriga is a smooth red wine with bright red fruits and soft tannins.

ModA and Tre Saggi are from the Talamonti Winery in Abruzzo. ModA has gorgeous hints of violet blend with intense and persistent aromas of cherry, plum and fresh raspberry in a harmonious bouquet. On the palate, the rich red fruit flavours express great elegance. Tre Saggi is dark ruby-red in colour with violet undertones. On the nose there are complex wild berry notes framed by elegant oak spices. Chiefly blackcurrant on the palate with spicy cherry integrated with hazelnut and coffee.
