Description

Winemaker's Tasting Note This 2022 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc shows lifted tropical notes of guava and stone fruit. The palate is crisp, fruity and fresh and finishes with a lively, citrus acidity. (2022 - abv 12.5%)

From selected vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau valleys. In 2018, our Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes were the best yet. Ripening steadily in warm days and cool nights, flavours gradually intensified throughout the long summer and autumn months. Harvesting conditions proved to be ideal and even meant that we were ahead of schedule! Vinification Twelve parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were selected for this wine from vineyards across the Wairau valley and the Awatere Valley. The parcels were harvested and fermented separately, using selected yeast strains for Sauvignon Blanc to enhance varietal character. A long, cool fermentation took place over four weeks, with the parcels then being blended and stabilised prior to bottling.
