Ideally positioned below 'la Grande Muraille' at the gates of St. Emilion, the tiny 2 hectare vineyard is planted on clay-limestone in a microclimate that always ensures great maturity. "Just on the edge of overripe. Pure and supple but bigger tannic structure than ususal. Drink 2017-2028." Decanter

This property takes its name from the Dominican convent of Grande Muraille which dates from the 12th century the ruins of which are still visibile in St. Emilion today. There is a quarry under the vineyard when the wines are made and aged. It is owned by The Reiffers family.
