This is a dark and sensual wine, full of personality with all the structure, elegance and wonderful fruit characters that Central Otago Pinot Noir can offer. Like all Mount Edward Pinots this will benefit from a little time in the cellar. Drink 2006 - 2010.

For many years, Alan Brady, an Irishman and journalist, worked at one of Central Ortego's best producers of Pinot Noir - Gibbston Valley. His reputation for being a master of Pinot was achieved during the 1980's and, having got to the top, he decided that he needed a new venture thus setting up his own winery at Mount Edward.

Mount Edward is a small winery and a very personal project of Alan Brady who has absolute hands-on committment at every stage of his wine's production. It also allows him to put into practice any winemaking ideas he might have and his winery is now one of the top places in New Zealand to buy quality Pinot Noir.

There is a drawback though. Production is so small that his wine is severely rationed!
