La Maison Edmond Briottet was established in 1836 and, today, the family still oversees every aspect of the production of their fruit liqueurs. Strict selection of only the best fruit provides the base and, with careful maceration over ten weeks, they manage to achieve a wonderful concentration of fruit and viscosity.

This is an 'artisanal' crème at its best.

Crème de cassis is a blood-red, sweet, blackcurrant liqueur. It dates back to the 16th century and was first produced by monks in France as a cure for snakebites, jaundice, and wretchedness (it is also great when served by the teaspoon for a sore throat).

This cordial works well in pousse-cafés and some cocktails, but is most commonly mixed with just vermouth, white wine, or soda water. The classic Kir is a blend of dry white wine and cassis; Kir Royal when sparkling wine is used and Kir Cardinal when mixed with red wine.
