A light, fresh and fruity red from Bardolino

The Tedeschi family has been active in the field of wine growing and producing in the Valpolicella area for five generations. Nicolò Tedeschi founded the firm in 1824, stipulating the first deed of sale of some vineyards.

Vines and wine were also the raison d’être and a way of upholding the good name and prestige of the family for his successors. For Lorenzo Tedeschi, for example, given the amusing nickname "damigiana" (demijohn) because he was always busy transporting demijohns of wine with his cart, and subsequently for Riccardo Tedeschi, considered by the inhabitants of Pedemonte to be a genuine patriarch. He was foresighted enough to decide to purchase the vineyards of Monte Fontana and Monte Olmi in 1918, considering them to be two premier cru.

His work was then continued by his two sons Silvino and Renzo, the first completely dedicated to the meticulous care of the vines, the second committed to carrying on, together with his wife Bruna, the " Tedeschi style", making the family business known in Italy and around the world.

The most recent generation of the Tedeschi family is today represented by his children, Antonietta, Sabrina and Riccardo, the first responsible for sales in Italy and administration, the second a food technician and for years a researcher at the Institute of San Michele all'Adige, concerned with research and development, whereas Riccardo, an oenologist, deals with production and with sales outside Italy.

Grape varieties: 30% Corvina; 30% Corvinone; 30% Rondinella; 10% Molinara, Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara, Dindarella

Strong ruby red colour with a fresh bouquet of ripe, red cherries and a touch of wood. Good body and structure with a rich, cherry fruit.
