Deliciously concentrated and intelligently oak-aged, giving an unctuous, yet balanced peachy fruitiness.

From their Catello di Pomino estate in the Pomino DOC, which is well known for its cooler, higher altitude vineyards, Lamberto Frescobaldi's Il Benifizio has taken on a completely different quality dimension, made predominatly from Chardonnay.

As far back as the 14th century, the Frescobaldis have supplied wine to the English royal houses and courts of many European countries and the family archives have signed contracts for wine purchases from King Henry VIII.

The modern-day estate really only established itself into its present form after World War II during which its property was virtually destroyed. They are now one of the leading producers of quality Tuscan wines, with 1,000 hectares under vine at eight estates.

The company is owned by four brothers and produces well over seven million bottles of wine annually with 65% of that exported throughout the world.
