Another 'Super-Puglian', produced from 100% Negromaro by the very talented Candido family. Although extremely hot during the day, the night time temperatures in these vineyards plummet downwards, impeding the chemical processes in the grape and allowing a relatively slow ripening, which generates developed of aromas, richness and concentration of fruit. After a fairly vigorous fermentation, the Capello is matured in cask, thereby encouraging an early malolactic, which softens the fruit acids.

Rich and spicy on the nose, followed by concentrated, rounded flavours of sun dried raisins, dark chocolate and black coffee with 'sweet', ripe tannins leading to a lovely bitter black cherry finish on the palate.
