Orange Muscat is part of the family of 'Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains' which is the oldest and most aristocratic variety of this grape. Its grapes are (as the name suggests) small and round which makes them easy to differentiate from the 'Muscat of Alexandria' which has large oval grapes.
Characteristics: From a light whiff of orange blossom to a wine that's reminiscent of drinking marmalade.
Where is it found? California, Australia, Italy
Wines associated: Moscato Fior d'Arnicio, Essensia
Food matches: Fruitcake, Spotted Dick, Wensleydale
