Greco
As the name implies, Greco is a grape of Greek origin and makes fairly robust and full bodied white wines. On the whole the wines are dry but there is a fabulous, sweet wine made in Calabria from semi dried Greco grapes.
Characteristics: Full-bodied, ripe and rounded with a good touch of minerality.
Where is it found? Tufo (Calabria), Compania
Wines associated: Greco di Tufo (dry), Greco di Bianco (sweet)
Food matches: Fresh water fish, chicken, salads
