Catarrato

Catarrato is the second most planted vine in Italy and is one of the world's six most planted vines. It used to have a major role in the production of Marsala but today is responsible for much of Italy's and Europe's wine lake.

Characteristics: Good acidity production make it an ideal grape for hot climates

Where is it found? Sicily, Trapani

Food matches: Seafood, fish, chicken in creamy sauce
