Aleatico is a weird grape variety that is seldom exported these days but well worth keeping an eye out for. It is probably a dark skinned mutant of the classic Muscat, Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains, and produces really fine, sweet red wines. Characteristics: Sweet red wines with very finely balanced acidity and a touch of appliness about them Where is it found?
