A pleasantly refreshing, fruity wine from the Rheinhessen area of Germany.

Nierstein is widely recognised for producing some of Germany's great wines from its single vineyard sites like Hipping and Pettenthal. Gutes Domtal's only connection with Nierstein is that it represents a large are of vines over several kilometers around the famous town and sweeps up in its homogenous whole vineyards which would otherwise struggle to find a market for their wines. Good Gutes Domtal provides us with easy and pleasant drinking with very little complexity. It achieves mediocrity at best and disgraceful qualities at worst.
