Vegetal notes on the nose with hints of ripe gooseberries with lemon peel. Wonderful finely tuned acidity. Persistant yet delicate finish. The wine's extract forming the bridge between the alcohol and the wine's alluring aroma. Jonahes Leitz names this 'The Golden Gate Bridge' of Rudesheim!

Johanes is like many a modern winemaker in that he travelled extensively after leaving Eltville College with his wine making degree. This allowed him to work in many of the top wine regions of France, gaining valuable experience before he took over the reins of the family firm.

Johanes Leitz believes that good wine can only be produced with good vineyard management. He sees himself primarily as a producer of wine grapes as he is adamant that it is only possible to produce top quality wines from top quality grapes that truly reflect the individual character of his unique, slate rich soils.
