Lovely peachy fruit with hints of cream - brilliantly balanced.

Charles Hours is one of the stars, and great characters, of the Jurançon region. His 16 hectares of vineyards are on steeply sloping limestone where he grows Petit and Grand Manseng and a little Petit Courbu.

There are just two cuvées produced here, one dry and one sweet Jurançon. The dry is Cuvée Marie, made from 90% Gros Manseng and 10% Petit Courbu, harvested at 50 hl/ha. After a gentle press and fermentation the wine goes into barrel for up to eleven months, with a maximum 10% new oak. The wine is one of the best Jurançons of the region.

The nose has hints of peaches and cream with a beautiful minerality. Good body with a well balanced acidity and hint of floralness.
