Corbières, A Capella - 2003 - Chateau Meunier St. Louis

The special cuvée A Capella is sourced from a 5 hectare parcel of Syrah (40%), Grenache (40%) and Carignan (20%), situated on steep slopes just above the village of Boutenac. Philippe and Martine have sculpted a deep coloured, fragrant and complex (the bouquet combines a floral side with red, fruits, vanilla and pepper!) multi-dimensional wine with a soft-textured, mouth-filling fruitiness and enough ripe tannins to guarantee it 5 or more years of exciting life.

Situated in the inland region of Corbières, near the village of Boutenac, this 55-hectare estate makes deeply coloured, full-bodied Corbières.

Philippe and Martine Pasquier-Meunier inherited the estate in 1989 and, prior to this, the harvest was taken by the local cooperative.Martine is a self-taught wine-maker who has achieved a great deal in a very short space of time, whilst her husband, Philippe is a born organiser who has designed a highly practical and functional winery which turns out some brilliant wines.
