This is an exciting new red Côtes du Roussillon Villages from Catherine and Robert Pouderoux’s 15ha. property in Maury. Made from 100 year-old Carignan, Syrah and Grenache, planted on a meagre granite soil, it is a fine, deep and rich wine with great concentration and finish.

This 18 hectare estate was first planted by Robert Pouderoux's grandfather who celebrated his 80th vintage at Maury in 2000. In the hills behind the lowlands of the Roussillon plain the terroir of Maury benefits from a cooler micro-climate which allows for slower ripening, The soils are schist, granite and limestone. These Roussillon wines from the vineyards in Latour de France, which is about 10 kms outside of Maury, exhibit great savour and exceptional power.
