Montagny, 1Er Cru - 2005 - Château du Cray

Utterly delicious, soft, rounded and delicately opulent white Burugndy from the southerly region of the Châlonnaise, north of Cluny. Flavours of nectarine and apricot pervade the mouth and the wine has a beautiful creamy texture and good balancing acidity. To drink and savour now until 2008.

This pretty property is located at Buxy and has belonged to the Perret du Cray family for centuries. The chateau cultivates 20 hectares of vines in both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Today the vineyard is cultivated by Roland Perret du Cray, together with the vineyard manager Serge Pigneret, himself descending from a very old vineyard family.
