Domaine François Lumpp is generally accepted as being the best producer in Givry.

François and Isabelle Lumpp have 6.5 hectares under vine and, in the last fifteen years, have totally replanted with the finest clones, planted closely together. François is a fanatical viticulturist and insists on very low yields. All the grapes are hand picked and there is a further, severe selection prior to vinification.

The 1er Cru Petit Marole is sublime with a deep, black cherry fruit, finely balanced tannins and a well supported touch of oak. This is as purer Burgundy as you will get - beautifully balanced with great poise and elegance.
