Sweet ripe spicy palate - quite forward with jammy blueberry finish. Quite charming.

Since 1971, the Audoy family have owned the ‘rising star’ of St. Estèphe, Château Cos Labory, a 12-hectare estate which is immediately opposite its renowned neighbour, Cos d’Estournel. We started buying wines from the Audoys back in the late 1970’s but it was not really until 1986 that the château’s true potential was realised when the family undertook to invest in a new ‘cuverie’ and introduced a stricter selection process for the ‘first’ (main) wine. In recent vintages, the wines have had great extraction and ‘matière’, representing some of the best value when it comes to cru classé drinking.
