Grand Cru Classé St. Emilion

This is a delicious, relatively soft 2000. It has a dense purple hue and a complex nose of red berry fruits with candied orange peel, prunes and damsons. It is medium in weight and multi-dimensional on the palate. A truly great La Dominique from a first rate vintage. Drink now until 2015. The grape varieties are Merlot 80%, Cabernet-Franc 15% and Cabernet-Sauvignon 5%.

This estate is owned by the Fayat family. The wines are made under the ever watchful eye of Michel Rolland.
