Like many 2004s this wines has tremendous structure and is very much in the classic style with a deep blackish purple colour and lots of chocolatey fruit. At the moment here is lovely bouque redolent of cherries and violets. This wine will require several years of cellaring to allo the very present tannins to melt into the wine. Drinl 2015 to 2025.

Owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg since 1983 this 20 hecatre estate has regained its place amongst Saint Emilion's great wines. It is situated on the côteaux surrounding the pretty town. The wines are made to last and are often kept in up to 100% new oak barrels prior to bottling.

The grape mix is 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet-Franc and 5% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
