1er Grand Cru Classé St. Emilion

A decidedly deep, black purple colour and an amazing bouquet of spicy cherry fruit, herbs and cedarwood. Not at all over-extracted and less of a New Wave St. Emilion the wine exhibits a delicacy and finesse whilst still showing an elegant fruity character. Deep purple, interesting nose, finely spicy. Vigorous and strong in the mouth, many ripe and fresh fruits, with a dry finish. Start drinking between 2010 and 2030.

Owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg since 1983 this 20 hecatre estate has regained its place amongst Saint Emilion's great wines. It is situated on the côteaux surrounding the pretty town. The wines are made to last and are often kept in up to 100% new oak barrels prior to bottling.

The grape mix is 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet-Franc and 5% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
