Pomerol

La Fleur Pétrus is characterised by its elegance and silkiness of texture but this 2001 shows more depth and muscle. It is rich with ripe black cherry fruit combined with some oaky weight. It should be drunk between 2010 and 2020.

Château la Fleur Pétrus is located adjacent to Pétrus and is, like its famous neighbour, owned by the Libournais négociant firm of Jean-Pierre Moueix. They have owned this estate since 1952 and it was entirely replanted after the devastating frosts of 1956.

The grapes used are 85% Merlot with 15% Cabernet Franc.
